Hello to my readers! I hope you're doing well right now. This is my first e-portfolio about study skills. It may not be too good but I hope you will enjoy reading it. My name is Eirdhey Wafiyya binti ShahrulIkram. I am 18 years old and a student who currently study at UiTM Pahang, Campus Jengka. I am the eldest daughter from 2 siblings. Now, I’m just being one of the undergraduate in Diploma in Accountancy ( AC110 ) . One of the most important purpose I’m doing this portfolio is to introduce the student about UED102 or well known will soft skills. UED102 provides students with learning skills essential for varsity life, which should be within each student.

What is learning style inventory? Learning style inventory is a tool that helps you understand your preferred way of learning. It assesses your strenghts and preferences in areas like visual, auditory or kinesthetic learning. It can be helpful in tailoring your study techniques to maximize your learning potential.
LEARNING STYLE 1 : VISUAL
Visual learning style is all about using images, diagrams, and visual aids to understand and remember information. It can be really helpful for many people.
LEARNING STYLE 2 : AUDITORY
Auditory learning is all about absorbing information through listening. It can be helpful to read aloud, use audio recordings, or participate in discussions.
LEARNING STYLE 3 : KINESTHETIC
Kinesthetic learners prefer hands-on activities and physical movement to understand and remember information. It could involve things like using manipulatives, doing experiments, or even acting out scenarios.
What is goal?
Goal setting is a process of planning your ideal future and make effort to motivate yourself to turn your vision of our ideal future into reality. Setting our goals can help us to choose where we want to go and achieve what we want in our life.

TYPES OF GOALS :
LONG-TERM GOALS
Long-term goals are the big aspirations and achievements you want to accomplish in the future. They are usually set for a period of several years or more. Long-term goals can be related to various aspects of life, such as career, education, relationships, personal development, or health. They provide a sense of direction and purpose, and can help you stau motivated and focused.
SHORT-TERM GOALS
Short-term goals are smaller, more immediate targets that you set for yourself. They are usually achievable within a shorter period of time, such as a few days, weeks, or months. Short-term goals help you stay focused and motivated on a day-to-day basis, and they contribute to your progress towards your long-term goals. Examples of short-term goals could be completing a project, learning a new skill, or achieving a specific grade in class.

ACADEMIC GOALS is something that related with our works. Such as for students, we must completing assignment and preparing for exam.
PERSONAL GOAL is something that related with our daily life.

TIME MANAGEMENT
Time management is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time between specific activities. It involves setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and using techniques to make the most of your time. Its all about being efficient and effective in managing your time to achieve your desired outcomes. It’s a great skill to have, especially when you have a lot on your plate.

Reducing Procrastination
what is procrastination???
Procrastination is the action of delaying or postponing something.
- This is the behavior that makes student slow their working process.
- To be a successful student. Students need to avoid this because it can lead to a bad quality of life.
Procrastination can be tough habit to break, but here a few tips to help you out :
- set deadlines : give yourself specific deadlines for each task to stay on track.
- prioritize : start with the most important or urgent tasks first to avoid getting overwhelmed
- find motivation : set goals, reward yourself, or find ways to make your tasks enjoyable
- stay organized : used to-do-list, calendars, or productivity apps to keep track of your tasks
MEMORY LEARNING
What is memory?
Memory is the ability to save and remain the experience and information.
HUMAN VS COMPUTER BRAIN
There are 3 types of memory :
1) Sensory memory
Which is a temporary memory.
2) Long-term memory
Memory of an information for a long period of time.
3) Short-term memory
Memory of an information in a short period of time.
MEMORIES STRATEGIES
The main reason to have memories strategies is to help students to not forget any facts or information in short period of time.
Every students need to have a memory strategies to memorise especially course that have a lots of facts. Because it almost possible for us to memorise all facts at one time. So, we have to create memories strategies to ease our brain to absorb everything.
WAYS TO IMPROVE OUR MEMORY
- use time wisely
- get enough sleep
- have a full attention when doing something

Improving concentration is an important skill that can help us stay focused and engaged in our tasks
How to Boost Concentration????
minimize distractions : find a quiet and comfortable environment to work in. turn off notifications on your phone or put it on silent mode to avoid interruptions
2. create a study routine : establish a consistent study schedule and stick to it. having a routine can train your brain to focus during specific times
3. stay organized : keep your study area tidy and have all the necessary materials within reach. a tidy environment can help reduce distractions.

What is taking notes???
taking effective notes means capturing key information and writing down ideas from lecturer or other sources in a way to helps you understand and remember the material. it’s also helpful to review and revise your notes regularly to reinforce your learning.
why we should take notes????
- to help us to pay attention in class
- as a reference for studyingand reviewing later on
- to help us organize our thoughts
- to identify important poins
- to help us improve our memory
- to improves our understanding and retention of information
WHY WE SHOULD REVIEW NOTES???
- we lose 80% of what we hear if it is not reviewed within a few hours
- to identify any questions for peers, the next class, or ask the lecturer
- there is enough time to absorb all the information given in class if its not reviewed on a regular basis
- think “ if i were tested on this lecture tomorrow, will i ace it?”
WHAT TO DO BEFORE CLASS???
- review the notes from the day before
- review your reading assignment
- write to date at the top of your paper notes
- leave spaces between the lines so that you can add the information later
- make sure you have paper, text, pen and handout
HOW DO WE TAKE NOTES???
- write down the dates and label notes
- give ourselves space to write
- use abbreviations and symbols
- use our own language
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AND PERFORMANCE
WHAT IS ACADEMIC INTEGRITY???
Academic integrity is the commitment to and demonstration of honest and moral behavior in an academic setting. This is most relevant at the university level as it relates to providing credit to other people when using their ideas. In simplest terms, it requires acknowledging the contributions of other people. Failure to provide such acknowledgement is considered plagiarism.
PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is when someone uses someone else’s work,ideas, or words without giving them proper credit. it’s like copying someone’s homework without acknowledging where you got the answers from. plagiarism is not cool and it’s important to always give credit to the original source.

- learn what does not constitude plagiarism
- check out the rules regarding copyright
- learn how to properly cite references
- learn how to paraphrase
- review, review, review
- take advantages of your lecturer’s knowledge
